Socatel is the leading provider for both Internet and mobile phone access throughout the country. The primary governmental regulating bodies of telecommunications are the ''Ministère des Postes'' (Ministry of Posts), and ''Télécommunications et des Nouvelles Technologies'' (Telecommunications and New Technologies).
